Milan, March 13, 2008 – At today’s meeting, the Board of Directors of Transalpina di Energia reviewed the slate of candidates for election to Edison’s Board of Directors that, based on the nominations provided by the shareholders WGRM (EdF) and Delmi, Transalpina di Energia plans to file by March 17, 2008.
The abovementioned slate includes the following 12 names: Giuliano Zuccoli (candidate for the chairmanship), Marco Merler, Renato Ravanelli, Paolo Rossetti, Ivan Strozzi and Gregorio Gitti (independent), nominated by Delmi; Pierre Gadonneix, Umberto Quadrino (candidate for the office of Chief Executive Officer), Daniel Camus, Gerard Wolf, Marc Boudier and GianMaria Gros Pietro (independent), nominated by EdF.
The curricula vitae of the new candidates will be available on the Company website (www.edison.it), where those of candidates who sit on the current Board of Directors can already be accessed and where all of the documents pertaining to candidates for election to governance posts will be made available.
