Agreement between Edison, EDF Energies Nouvelles and F2i: a new hub for renewables comes to life

Milan, 31 July 2014 - F2i, Edison, and EDF Energies Nouvelles have reached an agreement for the creation of the third Italian operator in the renewables market, which will control about 600 MW capacity (most of which wind power), after the merger of the EDENS (Edison Energie Speciali) facility and part of the EDF EN Italia facilities.

The new renewables hub will contribute to the growth and consolidation of the best operators in the industry,  by leveraging Edison's industrial skills in management and optimization of electricity generation from various sources, along with EDF Energies NouveIles' skills in O&M. Soundness and financial competences will be strengthened by the strategic partner F2i, a long-term institutional investor boasting long-standing experience in the renewables industry.
