Edison Open 4Expo starts with Nobel laureate Amartya Sen
Milan, 14 May 2015 – Edison Open 4EXPO opens tomorrow in the historic headquarters at Foro Bonaparte 31 (10.30 am) with Nobel laureate in Economic Sciences Amartya Sen as its first guest. The Indian economist, awarded with over 100 honorary degrees, opens the series of conferences dedicated to the great innovators in economy, with the lecture “Famines and food security: sustainability and crisis”.
The initiative is part of in Edison Open 4EXPO, Edison's initiative that aims to cooperate with the brightest minds of our century towards the creation of a Charter of Innovation, to be passed on to this country and its institutions after the Universal Exposition. Nobel laureates, influential economists, scientists, opinion leaders, Italian and international artists, but most importantly young researchers, startuppers and makers will be engaging in the debate throughout the six months of Expo, in Milan - at Edison's historic HQ in Foro Buonaparte 31, in Edison's Triennale Open Garden and at Rotonda della Besana. Together, they will try to lay the foundations for the future after Expo 2015.
