Volturara - Motta Montecorvino Wind Farm (FG)

The wind farm has been active since 2001; it consists of 19 triblade wind turbines (each with a unitary capacity of 0.6 MW) for a total installed capacity of 11.4 MW.

The wind farm is connected with the electrical substation in Volturara Appula (FG) which performs voltage step-up and power delivery.

The energy produced by each wind turbine is collected at Medium Voltage (20 kV), by means of an underground cable network.

An underground duct connects the MV/LV cabins and then goes on to the Electrical Station where the energy is transformed and enters the public grid at 150 kV voltage.
