Orsara - La montagna Wind Farm (FG)

The wind farm is connected to the Orsara electrical substation, performing voltage step-up and electricity delivery.
The electricity produced by each wind turbine is collected at MV (30 kV) by means of an underground cable network. An underground duct connects the MV/LV cabins, and then goes on to the Electrical Station in Orsara, where the energy is transformed and enters the public grid at 150 kV voltage.

The wind farm is located in the municipality of Orsara di Puglia (altitude: around 900m above sea level), and is equipped with 30 triblade wind turbines, 11 of which are located in Crepacore, and the remaining 19 in Montagna. Each wind turbine has a unitary capacity of 0.6 MW, adding up to a total installed capacity of 8 MW.
