Casone Romano Wind Farm (FG)

The wind farm area is located on the ridge of a hill; the area is mostly grazing land, with a few patches of wheat crops. On the south side of the ridge there are 5 to 10m tall oaks. The facility, operating since August 1996, consists of 10 single blade wind turbines, adding up to a total installed capacity of 2.6 MW. 

The electricity produced is collected in medium voltage by means of an underground cable network. An underground duct transmits to the main ENEL grid at the medium voltage service drop (20kV).
