A new twitter channel for dialogue with institutions

Edison has launched a new Twitter channel to have a direct dialogue with its stakeholders (www.twitter.com/Edison4Gov). The new channel aims to be a transparent platform for information and update on the activities and initiatives organized by Edison’s Public Affairs and as a dialogue with Italian and EU public institutions, policy makers, associations, NGOs and think tanks from energy and economy/financial sector. The new channel is one of the few cases in Italy and Europe of openness by the Public Affairs. Tweets will be in English and Italian.

The new channel is part of Edison’s strategy on social media in order to have a transparent relationship with its stakeholders: from customers to institutions and policy makers to associations and media. Major areas covered by Edison’s social media and its different communities are: Energy (industrial activities in the electricity and hydrocarbons sectors), Music (Edison-Change the Music, an initiative for sustainable music), Sport (Edison is sponsor of Italian national teams of rugby, volley and basket) and Sustainability (environment and volunteering).
