Agreement Edison-Bunge
Public disclosure required by Consob Resolution No. 11971 of May 14, 1999, as amended.
Milan, June 01, 2005 - Edison today signed an agreement that permanently and definitively settles any and all present and future claims that may arise from the guarantee and indemnification obligations undertaken by Edison pursuant to a contract (executed in 2002) to sell its interest in Cereol S.a. to Bunge Investments France S.a.s., including any claims that may arise as a result of arbitration awards handed down in proceedings filed by Ildom in connection with its purchase of a 49% interest in Oleina from Cereol in 2002. Under the settlement agreement, Edison today paid Bunge US$85 million. Edison had established sufficient reserves to cover these obligations.
