How the facility works

The facility relies mainly on two gas turbines which have been active since 1992 and are fuelled with natural gas. The shafts of the gas turbines are coupled with axial compressors and their respective power generators (G3, G4). The GT3 and GT4 turbines have been replaced with new-generation turbines, equipped with water-injection burners and compressors with intermediate air cooling system. The energy it produces enters the National Transmission Grid.

Environmental protection and safety

A continuous emission monitoring system is in place to ensure emissions are monitored at all times.
