- We have started a project on environmental risk management, in line with the objectives of the EDF Strategy of Adaptation to Climate Change. The main goal is to make our facilities more resilient to sudden events with a devastating impact.
- Our strategy intends to develop energy efficiency services -to ensure that CO2 emissions are contained– and to carry out cooperation projects on the development of renewable sources in Europe and in third countries, within the framework of EU directive 2009/28/CE.
- Within the EDF group, Edison is involved in the work towards COP21, the upcoming International Conference on Climate Change (link must connect to the COP21 page) that will be held in Paris in December.
- In this respect, Edison is taking advantage of Expo Milan 2015 to promote workshops and debates focussing on climate change and its impact on natural resources and on geopolitics, and analyzing the specific features of the Mediterranean context and its ecosystems in the broader context of global warming.
