Established in 1999, Edison Foundation promotes scientific research and the study of the social, economic, cultural and civil issues surrounding local industry. Special attention is given to the relationship between small firms and large enterprise, between communities and the development of their local areas, and the impact of internationalization.
The Foundation promotes its own independent research, studies, publications and events as well as in collaboration with other organizations.
The Foundation’s programmes are designed to stimulate contributions from universities, company research departments in small and large firms, research institutes and bodies, other major associations and foundations, as well as individuals working to solve local problems.
