The Business Unit Gas Supply and Logistics is established and entrusted to Riccardo Pasetto, who joins the Group
Due to growing importance of gas activities, Edison established, starting September, the Business Unit “Gas Supply & Logistics”, entrusted to Riccardo Pasetto, who will report to Chief Operating Officer Michel Cremieux.
The new Business Unit will focus on developing gas supplies and on managing logistics processes and contracts. In particular, it will ensure gas short, medium and long term supplies to thermoelectric power plants; it will also in charge of market development, defining new supply contracts – both national and international – as well as defining access conditions to gas transportation and storage infrastructures.
The Hydrocarbons Operations provide momentum for Edison’s future growth. The Group is involved in building the Rovigo regasification terminal, the only such facility currently under construction in Italy, and is developing an additional terminal in Tuscany and gas pipelines linking Italy with Greece and Algeria. These infrastructural projects will provide Edison and Italy with more diversified and reliable sources of natural gas.
Riccardo Pasetto, 56 years old, has a deep expertise in gas sector. Among his previous charges, he was Chief Executive Officer and managing director at Plurigas and managing director for gas sales at Snam.
