Bruno Lescoeur appointed chairman of the Observatoire Méditerranéen de l’Energie (OME)

Cairo, May 16th, 2013 – Bruno Lescoeur, Edison’s CEO, was appointed Chairman of the Observatoire Méditerranéen de l’Energie (OME) in the occasion of the General Assembly Meeting in Cairo.
 
OME is a nonprofit Association created in 1988. The Association counts thirty two leading Mediterranean energy companies from fourteen countries. The main objective of the Association is to promote cooperation and collaboration with major energy companies operating in the Mediterranean region, making of energy an element for regional integration.

Born in Paris, on November 19, 1953, Bruno  Lescoeur is  CEO of Edison and he is in charge of Edf Group’s gas activities  and Southern Europe activities.

Established in 1881 in Milan, Edison is the oldest electric company in Europe. Today’s it’s operating in the power and hydrocarbons businesses along the entire value chain. It has an installed capacity of 7,700 MW and reserves of 50 billion cubic meters of gas equivalent. Edison beside being the Edf Group’s gas platform will have the role to develop its presence in the Mediterranean area.
